The mentoring pillar of the Department of Medicine Educator Academy:
- Creates and maintains a community that is interested in, has expertise in, and a passion for mentoring.
- Develops and sustains a culture of mentorship in the DOM by providing activities and products that will engage faculty and staff in mentoring, developing mentoring leaders who will serve as key educators and role models, and establishing sustainable mentorship training programs for all faculty.
- Offers mentoring workshops and mentor matching.

The Department of Medicine Faculty Development program offers evidence-based mentorship training, effective promotion oversight and individualized support for faculty on all tracks and ranks.
