Dr. Laura Maursetter is a faculty member of the Division of Nephrology within the Department of Medicine. Dr. Maursetter is the Service Chief of the Medicine Subspecialties and Section Chief of Nephrology at the William S. Middleton Veterans Administration Hospital, and Medical Director, Portage Dialysis Unit. Dr. Maursetter has an interest in improvements of delivery of medical care and continues to use her administrative roles to implement these changes. She is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology where she has served on the Executive Training Program Director Committee, the Workforce Committee where she chaired the Kidney TREKS program and is a co-director of the ASN National Board Review Course and Updates. Dr. Maursetter has been named to Madison Magazine’s Top Doctors multiple times and is the recipient of the Graham-Meyer Teaching Award, the Excellence in Teaching award (as voted on by internal medicine residents) and the Department of Medicine Clinical Excellence adn Excellence in Education Mentoring Award.
Dr. Maursetter’s clinical specialties include general nephrology in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including providing a full range of inpatient services and outpatient nephrology care at the William S. Middleton Veterans Memorial Hospital and for correctional inmates via telemedicine.
