Teaching Opportunities
Fellows supervise internal medicine residents who rotate through the intensive care unit. This includes overseeing cases first evaluated by the residents, and providing some of the formal teaching.
Fellows also supervise internal medicine residents and fourth-year medical students who rotate on our pulmonary consult service as an elective. This includes seeing patients with learners, reviewing their findings, and sharing in the presentations to the attending.
Educator Development
The Department of Medicine's Fellow Medical Education (FAME) Training Track trains fellows to become effective clinician-teachers and scholars.
