Medical students interested in internal medicine are encouraged to apply.

We offer two-week electives between September and February. These courses are clinical or online. Please visit the UW School of Medicine and Public Health Visiting Medical Student website to review qualifications.

Interested students should submit the following documents to the DOM UME Health Professions Education Coordinator Abigail Rudzianis at arudzianis@medicine.wisc.edu:

  • Current CV
  • Letter of Interest describing personal or professional reasons for selecting the elective and wanting to visit

After we review the documents and students have completed the Visiting Students Learning Opportunities (VSLO) application, a member of the DOM undergraduate medical education team will contact applicants directly to confirm acceptance.
