Meet an Alum: Sean Kelly, MD
Class of 2016
Post-graduate employment: Associate professor, gastroenterology fellowship director and medical director of liver transplantation at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
How our program prepared him: “The University of Wisconsin provided an exceptional framework for the clinical, research and mentorship roles I have now. The GI and hepatology staff at UW have qualities that I continue to emulate. Dr. Gaumnitz, Dr. Lucey and Dr. Said are each the type of leaders that any division could build around. Amazing to have all three of them in the same place."
Key Outcomes
- Our fellows have gone on to great success in our program and in other academic centers throughout the U.S.
- Graduates have become administrative leaders in the field and thought leaders in such areas of interest as alcohol-induced liver disease research and liver tumors
