Professional Activities

Dr. Yamamoto is awarded the International Scholarship of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) for his fundamental research in respiratory diseases. He was a co-investigator in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Keio University. As an active member of the American Thoracic Society (ATS) and the Japanese Respiratory Society (JRS), he has made contributions to the development of clinical practice guidelines. He serves on three guideline committees, including those for ARDS clinical practice guideline, cough and sputum management, and pulmonary hypertension associated with lung diseases.
