Professional Activities

Dr. Vavrenyuk is a faculty member in the Division of Nephrology within the Department of Medicine. Dr. Vavrenyuk cares for people living with a wide range of renal diseases and disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including dialysis clinic. He is a member of the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) and the National Kidney Foundation (NKF). During training, Dr. Vavrenyuk was recognized by the Allegheny Health Network for both excellence in medical knowledge and case report.

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Vavrenyuk’s clinical interests include the use of ultrasound in nephrology, interventional nephrology procedures and home dialysis.

Research Interests

Dr. Vavrenyuk’s clinical research focuses on cardiac complications of chronic kidney disease.
