Dr. Christopher Saddler is a faculty member in the Division of Infectious Disease. He is the Clinical Services Chief for Infectious Disease. Dr. Saddler is also the fellowship director of the Transplant Infectious Disease Fellowship, co-founder and co-director of the Mycobacterial Diseases Clinic, director of the Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Antiviral Stewardship Service, and coordinates C difficile care at UW. He serves on the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee and numerous organ selection committees. He is a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America, American Society of Transplantation, and serves on the American Society of Transplantation Transplant ID community of Practice sub-committees on Education and Antimicrobial Stewardship.
Dr. Saddler's clinical interests include transplant infectious disease, Clostridium difficile (C. diff) infections, mycobacterial infections, fungal infections, cytomegalovirus infection, optimizing the clinical management of urinary tract infections, and general infectious disease.
Dr. Saddler has research interests in all aspects of care of immune compromised hosts, particularly in CMV prevention and management in solid organ transplant recipients, infection prevention and prophylaxis in transplant recipients, as well as C difficile, and mycobacterial diseases.
