Dr. David Pham is a faculty member in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine within the Department of Medicine. He received his medical education from Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine in Bryan, Texas and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). After his residency training, he stayed as a hospitalist on the Advanced Heart Failure Co-Management Service at UCSF for one year prior to fellowship. Dr. Pham completed fellowship training in Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, Heart Failure Society of America, and the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation. Dr. Pham has been inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honorary society.
Dr. Pham’s clinical interests include clinical management of heart failure, mechanical support, transplant cardiology, and infiltrative cardiomyopathies.
Dr. Pham’s research focuses on hemodynamics in heart failure and further understanding of hemodynamic profiles in relation to physical exam findings.
