Professional Activities

Dr. Peter Kleinschmidt is a faculty member in the Division of General Internal Medicine within the Department of Medicine. As an internist dedicated to primary care medicine, Dr. Kleinschmidt practices in both ambulatory and inpatient settings to treat adult for a variety of diseases and disorders and to provide preventive care. As a medical educator, Dr. Kleinschmidt serves as Internal Medicine Resident Continuity Clinic Preceptor weekly. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Society of General Internal Medicine, and the American Medical Informatics Association. He has received multiple awards for clinical service and education including the Department of Medicine Star Clinician and Star Educator awards and the Division of General Internal Medicine 2024 Remarkable Achievement Award for his work in developing clinical informatics curricula at the undergraduate and graduate medical level.
