Professional Activities

Dr. Abdul Wahab Arif is a faculty member in the Division of Hospital Medicine within the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (UW SMPH). He plays an active role in clinical care, academics, and leadership within the division. Dr. Arif serves as the Orientation Lead for new faculty in the Division of Hospital Medicine, where he oversees the onboarding process and ensures the successful integration of new team members. Additionally, he is the Director of the International Medical Student/Graduate Observership Program, providing mentorship and guidance to international medical graduates seeking valuable clinical experience.

Dr. Arif also serves on the MD Admissions Committee for UW SMPH. His commitment to education has been recognized through his receipt of the Department of Medicine’s Star Educator Award. Dedicated to both teaching and patient care, Dr. Arif’s work continues to enhance the learning environment and support the professional growth of his colleagues and trainees.

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Arif is a hospitalist who focuses on inpatient medicine with a particular interest in inpatient Cardiology.
