Follow Dr. Twedt:
Dr. Heidi Twedt is a faculty member in the division of General Internal Medicine. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Twedt is a clinical informaticist. She serves as Associate Chief Medical Information Officer at UW Health where she works to analyze, design, implement and evaluate our information systems. She also serves as Program Director for the University of Wisconsin Clinical Informatics Fellowship and Academic Director for the University of Wisconsin's graduate programs in Clinical and Health Informatics. She teaches the capstone project course for the master's degree program and a clinical informatics course for medical students. Dr. Twedt is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Informatics Association.
Dr. Twedt's research interests include provider documentation burden reduction, electronic health record system optimization and informatics education.
