What is your primary professional focus in any or all of our mission areas (clinical, research, and/or medical education)?
My primary professional focus is clinical research in lymphoma and cancer survivorship.
What drew you to UW-Madison and the Department of Medicine?
My colleagues. I think liking the people you work with makes for an enjoyable workplace experience. In addition, my husband matched into the infectious disease fellowship program at UW and we loved Madison when we were interviewing.
What are you most excited about during your first year with the department in this role?
I am excited about building a survivorship program for our lymphoma patients, which will hopefully lead to research in this area as well.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I enjoy time with my family, food and playing badminton.
Favorite piece of advice from a mentor or inspiring figure in your life?
“You never know.” It’s my dad’s tagline in life to tell me to keep giving my 100 percent to whatever I do—you never know how one thing can lead to something else!
