Justin Levinson, MD, MBA
Assistant Professor
Rheumatology
What is your primary professional focus in any or all of our mission areas (clinical, research, and/or medical education)?
My focus is clinical and medical education. My favorite part of being a doctor is seeing, diagnosing, and treating patients. I also very much like the educational aspect of medicine and look forward to getting more involved with the medical education of the med students, residents, and fellows.
What drew you to UW-Madison and the Department of Medicine?
The Medicine and Rheumatology department has a lot of support, particularly as I am new faculty. The pathologies are also vast and interesting. Family also brought me to the Madison area.
What are you most excited about during your first year with the department in this role?
Getting to utilize the tools I've attained in my many years of training to help patients as well as to grow in a medical education capacity.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
Spending time with my family, particularly outdoors, and cooking.
