What is your primary professional focus in any or all of our mission areas (clinical, research, and/or medical education)?
Currently, my primary focus is clinical. I am very excited to be caring for patients and building my practice as an outpatient Internal Medicine physician. Additionally, medical education has always been a passion and I am eager to start working with students this winter.
What drew you to UW-Madison and the Department of Medicine?
I think the major draw was the fantastic people at UW. One of the most important aspects of any job is having coworkers you admire and trust.
What are you most excited about during your first year with the department in this role?
There are so many different opportunities to get involved and to learn at UW. I am excited to get to grow as a physician and explore some new clinical and teaching avenues.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I enjoy running, swimming, and biking. As winter approaches I am hoping to try cross country skiing. Additionally, I am a certified scuba diver!
Favorite piece of advice from a mentor or inspiring figure in your life?
If you listen long enough, the patient will tell you what is wrong with them. (My grandfather — a now-retired cardiologist.)
