What is your primary professional focus in any or all of our mission areas (clinical, research, and/or medical education)?
I provide integrated palliative care in the One S. Park Carbone Cancer Center and I attend the palliative care inpatient and consult services at UW Health and Meriter.
What drew you to UW-Madison and the Department of Medicine?
A well-supported program with excellent colleagues and leadership.
What are you most excited about during your first year with the department in this role?
Developing an outpatient palliative care practice and mentoring fellows.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
Spending time with family, hiking, gardening, golfing, and reading.
Favorite piece of advice from a mentor or inspiring figure in your life?
Dr. William Osler – “Listen to your patient, he is telling you the diagnosis.”
