What is your primary professional focus in any or all of our mission areas (clinical, research, and/or medical education)?
I am a hospitalist, so I take care of adult inpatients admitted for non-surgical issues. I also spend time on internal medicine teaching services supervising residents.
What drew you to UW-Madison and the Department of Medicine?
I did my residency here from 2009-2012 and was a chief medical resident the following year. I am very happy to be back working at UW hospital.
What are you most excited about during your first year with the department in this role?
Getting to know the other members of the Hospital medicine division and working as a peer with some of my mentors from residency.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I love to cook and am always experimenting with new recipes. I also love to exercise and particularly like to play soccer.
Favorite piece of advice from a mentor or inspiring figure in your life?
Life is short, do what you love.
