What is your primary professional focus in any or all of our mission areas (clinical, research, and/or medical education)?
My primary professional focus as a chief resident is medical education, and as a future Hospital Medicine physician I plan to continue working within medical education and also community health.
What drew you to UW-Madison and the Department of Medicine?
What drew me to UW-Madison was how wonderful the city of Madison is to live in, and how kind and high-achieving the residents and faculty of the Department of Medicine are.
What are you most excited about during your first year with the department in this role?
What I am most excited about is getting to help enrich resident education, and getting the opportunity to present Grand Rounds.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
When not at work I enjoy dabbling in the kitchen, and getting outdoors through biking, skiing and hiking.
Favorite piece of advice from a mentor or inspiring figure in your life?
Whatever you go into (field of medicine) you have to enjoy taking care of the patients with the common illnesses, as well as the zebras.
