Meet the Internal Medicine Chief Residents for the 2020-2021 year
The Department of Medicine Office of Education is pleased to introduce the four internal medicine residents who will become chief residents in the 2020-2021 academic year.
Chief residency is an additional one-year experience that offers a blend of clinical education and mentoring, patient care and administration. These residents will assume chief roles in July 2020. Congratulations!
Categorical Chief Residents
Lauren Banaszak, MD
Dr. Banaszak will be the Bridges Family Endowed Chief Resident. She is from Arlington Heights, Illinois, and earned her medical degree from Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.
Sarah Donohue, MD
Dr. Donohue will be the Page Family Endowed Chief Resident. She is from Cedarburg, Wisconsin, and earned her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Katherine Fell, MD
Dr. Fell will be the Vogelman/Carnes Family Endowed Chief Resident. She is from Toledo, Ohio, and earned her medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine.
Primary Care Chief Resident
Victoria Gillett, MD
Dr. Gillett will be the Trowbridge Endowed Primary Care Chief Resident. She is from Oak Park, Illinois, and earned her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
Chief Residents for 2021-2022 announced
In addition, the Office of Education recently announced the selection of Internal Medicine Chief Residents for the 2021-2022 academic year. Those residents, who will assume chief roles in July 2021, are:
- Nimrod Deiss-Yehiely, MD (categorical chief resident)
- Scott Laurenzo, MD (categorical chief resident)
- Lindsay Matthews, MD (categorical chief resident)
- Emily Owen, MD primary care chief resident)
