Joan Addington-White, MD, clinical professor, General Internal Medicine and director of the Internal Medicine Residency Primary Care Track, was selected for a 2018 UW Health Clinical Educator Excellence Award. 

The award was presented at the Physician Excellence Awards Reception on June 14, 2018. 

Additionally, five Department of Medicine faculty members were nominated for awards, which is in itself a tremendous honor. They include: 

• Steven Barczi, MD, professor (CHS), Geriatrics and Gerontology
• James Haine, MD, clinical assistant professor, General Internal Medicine
• David Hei, MD, clinical associate professor, Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care
• Eugene Kaji, MD, PhD, associate professor (CHS), Cardiovascular Medicine
• Nazi Khan, MD, clinical professor, Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
