Dr. Héctor Valdivia receives Fulbright-Tocqueville Distinguished Chair Award
Héctor Valdivia, MD, PhD, professor, Cardiovascular Medicine, has been selected for the Fulbright-Tocqueville Distinguished Chair Award from the U.S. and France Joint Fulbright Commission.
The award aims to reinforce collaborative research between France and the United States on topics of major social, technological or medical significance for both countries.
It is sponsored by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research on behalf of the University of Paris Sud, and the Fulbright Program on behalf of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Dr. Valdivia will teach the course "Calcium-dependent Arrhythmias and the Role of Ryanodine Receptors in Health and Disease" and conduct research activities at the University of Paris Sud during the period June 1, 2018 through November 30, 2018.
