Dr. Dudley Lamming elected to leadership role in Gerontological Society of America
Dudley Lamming, PhD, assistant professor, Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, has been elected as Secretary of the Biological Sciences section of the Gerontological Society of America (GSA), the nation’s largest interdisciplinary organization devoted to the field of aging.
Biological Sciences is one of four sections of the GSA. Its members are researchers and professionals interested in the biological processes that underlie aging, and who study aging and longevity at the molecular, cellular, and/or organismal level. Members may also focus on age-related disease states. The aim of the Biological Sciences section is to help develop the next generation of bio-gerontologists by providing opportunities for professional networking and a yearly research symposium.
Dr. Lamming's three-year term as Secretary begins in November, 2017.
