What does being a chief resident mean to you?
Being a chief resident is a profound honor and an exciting challenge. It means having the opportunity to give back to a program that has been instrumental in my development as a physician. As a chief resident, I am committed to fostering a supportive and enriching environment for my fellow residents. I look forward to working closely with my co-chiefs and faculty to drive positive changes and uphold the high standards of our program. This role allows me to contribute to the growth and success of our residents, ensuring they have the best possible experience during their training.
What are you most looking forward to as chief?
I am most excited about mentoring and teaching our amazing residents. It's a privilege to support them in their clinical education and professional development. As a chief, I look forward to facilitating their growth into exceptional clinicians. Additionally, I am eager to grow as a clinician-educator and work on curriculum development to introduce new educational initiatives that will benefit our entire residency program.
What’s your favorite part of the UW internal medicine residency?
My favorite part of the UW IM residency is the residents. The camaraderie and mutual support among residents create a unique and nurturing environment. The friendships and professional relationships I have formed here are invaluable. UW IM residency truly feels like a family, and it's the residents who make this program so special.
