Professional Activities

Dr. Ryan Mattison is a faculty member in the Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care within the Department of Medicine. Dr. Mattison is involved in medical education, serving as Co-Director of Quality Improvement Curriculum for Internal Medicine Fellows. He is active in many regional and national professional organizations, and is Co-Director of the Wisconsin Oncology Network and a member of the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group/American College of Radiology Imaging Network Leukemia Core Committee. Dr. Mattison is a reviewer for publications such as Leukemia and Lymphoma, Clinical Lymphoma, and Leukemia and is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Mattison's clinical interests are in the care of patients with hematologic malignancies, particularly acute lymphoblastic leukemia and acute myeloid leukemia. He is interested in drug development to improve care and outcomes for these patients.

Research Interests

Dr. Mattison’s research interests work with the Hematology Disease-Oriented Working Group, which makes novel treatments available to patients through investigator-initiated studies as well programs through the National Cancer Institute and pharmaceutical companies.
