Professional Activities

Karen is an APP with UW Health and has served on a variety of professional committees. She was a founding member of the APP Inpatient Collaborative and subsequently served as co-chair. She has participated in a variety of work groups focusing on multi disciplinary collaboration, work flow optimization and transitions of care. She is also a member of the APP Credentials Committee, the Clinical Knowledge Management (CKM) council, a Wellbeing Champion and is a clinical preceptor for PA and NP students.

Karen is a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine, American Academy of Physician Assistants/Associates and the Wisconsin Academy of Physician Assistants.

Clinical Specialties

As a hospitalist, she focuses on providing care for adult inpatients at University Hospital and East Madison Hospital. Prior to her current role she worked with transplant patients, caring for kidney, liver and pancreas recipients both in the inpatient and clinic settings.
