What is your primary professional focus as it relates to our mission areas (clinical, research and/or medical education)?
As an intensivist, my passion lies in mechanical ventilators and the management of sepsis. I am dedicated to exploring the nuances of mechanical ventilators with a focus on optimizing settings, minimizing complications and contributing to advancements that enhance patient outcomes. Additionally, my interest also involves the management of patients with sepsis with focus on understanding and mitigating the complexities of this life-threating condition. As a pulmonary physician, I love treating patients with advanced COPD.
What drew you to UW–Madison and the Department of Medicine?
UW–Madison is one of the top universities in the country and a leader in pulmonary and critical care research. I see a good opportunity to grow professionally in the wonderful academic environment of UW-Madison.
What are you most excited about during your first year with the department in this role?
Opportunity to work with the excellent colleagues and outstanding trainees.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
Spending time with family and friends, watching soccer and biking.
